What is KIND?
The KIND Initiative is a heart-first, hands-on program run by Nimbin Youth, where local young people are empowered to give back to their community through small acts of service and kindness.
It’s about showing that kindness matters and that when young people are given the opportunity to help others, something powerful happens for everyone involved.
What KIND stands for
K – Kindness
I – Integrity
N – Nurture
D – Dedication
What do we do?
Young people involved in KIND volunteer their time and energy to support vulnerable members of the community, including:
* Lawn mowing and garden help
* Cooking and meal deliveries
* Shopping and errands
* Friendly visits and check-ins
* Creative kindness projects (letters, art, care packages, etc.)
Every act is guided by our belief in community care, compassion and the power of young people to make a difference.
Who is it for?
We’re inviting community members to nominate someone who could use a hand — an elder, single parent, someone who’s unwell, or just someone having a rough time.
Our young people crew will step up to offer real, practical support and some good vibes while they’re at it.
